Allen Press Announces Mark Kohlhase as Interim CEO

Lawrence, Kan.—January 8, 2020 — Allen Press announced today the appointment of Mark Kohlhase as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. In this role, Kohlhase will oversee all facets of Allen Press and the implementation of the company’s strategic goals and objectives. Kohlhase previously served as Vice President of Scholarly Publishing Services.

Mark joined Allen Press in 2012 as an Account Manager. Over the past six years, he has held multiple leadership roles within the Scholarly Publishing Services team including Editorial Services Manager, Director of Composition and Vice President. In addition, Kohlhase has spearheaded many special projects and assignments across the organization, upgraded Allen Press’ publishing technologies and led company-wide training and development programs.
